The Newton Battery Pod is an battery solution integrating lithium iron phosphate batteries and Multi-functional Power Conversion Systems. The main components, lithium iron phosphate batteries, bidirectional DC / AC converter, bidirectional DC / DC converter, Static Transfer Switch and monitoring unit, can be configured to provide a bespoke solution to meet individual client’s needs.

Newton Energi can offer our Battery over a three or five year lease plan spreading the cost, of purchase, giving your business reduced energy bills from day one.

02/ Purchase

Allows the business to benefit from tax relief against capital purchase, while saving money on your energy cost from the day of installation.

Peak Shaving

Peak shaving is a strategy for avoiding peak demand charges on the electrical grid by reducing power consumption during intervals of high demand and reducing consumption bills during high tariff periods.
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are the primary method for dealing with electrical grid flexibility and resilience through peak shaving.

The charging period
During this period, the batteries store electricity from the grid or embedded renewables. The intelligent software integrated within the system ensures that the batteries are charged during off-peak intervals or when excess energy is produced on-site through renewable sources such as solar.

The discharging period
In times of peak demand or tariffs the stored energy in the battery is used. With the help of intelligent control software, the battery discharges when grid prices rise or when local demand spikes.
